Tomorrow is the best, most marvelous, and utterly packed shopping event of the season. The Nutcracker Market. There are so many great things to browse and buy in such a smallish space, the people are unreal and the products are too. The only downside is they don't allow strollers/wagons. And while I'm sure it's a safety issue it also has a lot to do with making money. People would throw their bags in them and keep on shopping, without them they can pay extra to check their bags and pick them up at the end. Last year, E was 4 months old and rode happily in her Hotsling the whole time. This year, she is a smidge bigger and wayy to uncomfortable in the Hotsling. Someone gave me a Moby Wrap when I was pregnant and the thing is a monster. I used it once, maybe twice -- it's crazy complicated. I've already promised it to a pregnant friend but I figured she wouldn't mind if I used it once more before I sent it her way. So we practiced today to make sure I could wrap, place baby, and said baby would not fall to ground. It really feels super light so I have great confidence I can handle it tomorrow, hopefully I'm not over estimating myself here.
I hope you are able to see how easy of a time I had taking a picture of our practice round. (Oh, and pretend you don't see the smudges all over the mirror.)
Tie it tight! The bigger babes (meaning non-newborns, not saying Ella is ginormous, lol) tend to sag a bit over time...so rather than re-tie it a gazillion times you'll be better off tying it nice and tight to begin with! Have fun!

You can use the great Moby wraps for holding your babies close to you.
